Guidelines

Use the "Insert Jump Break" (looks like paper ripped in half) after first two sentences of each post

Use "Northfield," "St. Paul" or "Asian Rural Institute" tags for each post

Two primary types of posts to the LSC blog:
  1. Individual Written Reflection (use "Individual Reflection" tag)
  2. Community Conversation Summaries (use "Community Conversation" tag)

Individual Written Reflection

Short and concise summaries of meaningful experiences and insights that are written primarily for other members of the LSC learning cohort (students, staff and faculty), and potentially other more public audiences. Due approximately every other week in response to specific prompts from program coordinators. Posts should be well-written and edited. 200- 350 words per post. Use "Individual Reflection" tag

Community Conversation Summaries -- one summary per house is due each week as a blog post by Wednesday night

Each week you will be asked to have a community conversation about a particular topic or question(s) that relates to vocational exploration and/or social change. Nate or Faculty Supervisors will provide prompts, knowing that the conversation may also evolve organically to related issues. The topic or question will often connect to the previous or upcoming seminar.

Students will rotate as facilitators and note-takers. Note takers will be asked to submit a summary of the conversation as a blog post. The summary should include key themes, insights and “movements” in the conversation. It should end with one or more unanswered questions. Each post should be approximately 500- 600 words. Use "Community Conversation" tag
